  1. Algorithm

A set of rules or instructions given to an AI system to help it make decisions or perform tasks.

  2. Machine Learning

A subset of AI that allows systems to learn and improve from experience without being explicitly programmed.

  3. Neural Network

A series of algorithms that mimic the operations of a human brain to recognize relationships in a set of data.

  4. Natural Language Processing (NLP)

A branch of AI that helps computers understand, interpret, and manipulate human language.

  5. Deep Learning

A type of machine learning based on artificial neural networks, where the system learns from large amounts of data.

  6. Computer Vision

A field of AI that trains computers to interpret and understand the visual world.

  7. Reinforcement Learning

An area of machine learning where an AI agent learns to make decisions by performing certain actions and receiving rewards or penalties.

  8. Supervised Learning

A type of machine learning where the model is trained on labeled data, learning to predict the output from the input data.

  9. Unsupervised Learning

Machine learning technique where the model learns patterns from unlabelled data.

  10. Artificial Intelligence (AI)

The simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems.

  11. Chatbot

A software application used to conduct an online chat conversation via text or text-to-speech in lieu of providing direct contact with a human agent.

  12. Data Mining

The process of examining large pre-existing databases in order to generate new information.

  13. Heuristics

Simple, efficient rules, hard-coded by programmers, used by AI systems to make decisions quickly.

  14. Cognitive Computing

A complex computing system that mimics the human brain's reasoning, learning, and problem-solving capabilities.

  15. Generative Adversarial Network (GAN)

An AI architecture where two neural networks contest with each other in a game, typically used in unsupervised learning.

  16. Robotics

A field of engineering and science that involves the design, construction, operation, and use of robots, often incorporating AI systems.

  17. Sentiment Analysis

The use of natural language processing, text analysis, and computational linguistics to identify and extract subjective information in source materials.
