1. a chick flick

   a film about relationships, love, etc. that attracts mainly women

2. a connotation

   a feeling or idea that is suggested by a particular word although it need not be a part of the word's meaning something suggested by an object or situation

3. a fragrance

   a pleasant smell [= scent] a liquid that you put on your body to smell pleasant [= perfume, scent]

4. a hipster

   (informal) someone who is very influenced by the most recent ideas and fashions

5. a jock

   American English (informal) disapproving a person who is extremely sporty

6. a pastime

   a way of spending free time - enjoyable [= hobby]

7. a peer

   a person who is the same age or has the same social position or the same abilities

8. a promoter

   someone who tries to persuade people

9. a slacker

   someone who doesn't work hard enough

10. a slang

    very informal language that is usually spoken rather than written, used especially by particular groups of people (like youth, children, older people,..)
