  1. It is a picture that represents the components of a process, device, or other object using abstract, often standardized symbols and lines

    SCHEMATIC DIAGRAM

  2. is a diagrammatic representation of an algorithm and essential part of planning the system.

    CHARTS

  3. are widely used in technical analysis and programming for easy writing programs and explaining them to others

    Flow charts

  4. So, one of the most popular type of flow charts is

    Technical Flow Char

  5. is a specialized, high-level flowchart used in engineering

    block diagram

  6. It is used to design new systems or to describe and improve existing ones. Its structure provides a high-level overview of major system components, key process participants, and important working relationships

    block diagram

  7. Are physical arrangement of all resources that consume space within a facility

    LAYOUT PLANS

  8. is a causal diagram that aids in visualizing how different variables in a system are interrelated. The diagram consists of a set of nodes and edges. Nodes represent the variables and edges are the links that represent a connection or a relation between the two variables.

    causal loop diagram

  9. represent the variables and edges are the links that represent a connection or a relation between the two variables

    Nodes

  10. It is a constituent part of a building (or other built asset e.g. computer) which is manufactured as an independent unit, subsystem of subsystem, that can be joined or blended with other elements to form a more complex item. These are self-contained and sourced from a single supplier, typically the complete unit provided by that supplier rather than its constituent parts

    COMPONENT DRAWING

  11. These are combination of components. They show how the components fit together and may include orthogonal plan, sections and elevations, or three-dimensional views, show the assembled components, or an exploded view showing the relationship between the components and how they fit together. It may include instructions, lists of component parts, reference numbers and etc.

    ASSEMBLY DRAWINGS

  12. It is a numerical value expressed in appropriate units of measurement and used to define the size, location orientation, form or other geometric characteristics of a part

    DIMENSION

  13. types of dimensions:

linear radial angular ordinate arc length baseline and continued

  14. It can be horizontal, vertical, or aligned.

    LINEAR DIMENSIONS

  15. It measures the radius or diameter of arcs and circles with an optional centerline or center mark

    RADIAL DIMENSIONS

  16. It measures the angle between two selected geometric objects or three points

    ANGULAR DIMENSIONS

  17. It measures the perpendicular distances from an origin point called the datum, such as a hole in a part. These dimensions prevent escalating errors by maintaining accurate offsets of the features from the datum.

    ORDINATE DIMENSIONS

  18. It measures the distance along an arc or polyline arc segment. It includes measuring the travel distance around a cam or indicating the length of a cable.

    ARC LENGTH DIMENSIONS

  19. are also called as chained dimensions, are multiple dimensions placed end-to-end

    Continued dimensions

  20. are multiple dimensions with offset dimension lines measured from the same location

    Baseline dimensions

  21. It is a simplified conventional graphical representation of an electrical circuit. A simple images of components

    PICTORIAL CIRCUIT DIAGRAM

  22. It is a picture that represents the components of a process, device, or other object using abstract, often standardized symbols and lines

    SCHEMATIC CIRCUIT DIAGRAM

  23. An electric circuit that components are connected has one path for current between the same set of to flow.

    SERIES

  24. an electric circuit which all components are connected between the same set of electrically common points

    PARALLEL

  25. A handheld device that aids in accomplishing task such as cutting, shaping and twisting

    TOOL

  26. 5 common tools in servicing computers

screwdriver wire cutter pliers wire stripper crimpers

  27. It is used to loose and tighten screws

    screwdriver

  28. It is used to cut wires.

    wire cutter

  29. A small pincers for holding or bending objects and cutting wire

    pliers

  30. It is used to remove the protective coating of an electric wire

    wire stripper

  31. It is used to connect wires in such a way that they are able to transmit data

    crimper

  32. > lacking security or safe >involving or causing danger or risk

    UNSAFE

  33. > containing a fault or defect > imperfect or defective

    FAULTY

  34. When and how should you inspect hand tools?

Inspect tools for any damage prior to each use. Check the handle and body casing of the tools for cracks or other damage. If the tool has auxiliary or double handles, check to see that they installed securely.

  35. What should you do if you find a tool defective?

If a tool is defective, remove it from service, and tag it clearly “Out of Service for repair”. Replace damaged equipment immediately do not use defective tools “temporarily”. Have tools repaired by a qualified person – do not attempt field repairs.

  36. 10 BASIC SAFETY RULES IN USING HAND TOOLS

    1. Conduct regular inspections to hand tools. 2. Always wear appropriate PPE 3. Never carry tools up a ladder instead use a bag or hoist them up in a bucket. 4. Never carry sharp or pointed tools in your pocket instead carry them in a toolbox. 5. Always be aware of the people around you when using tools. 6. Always use the right tools for the job. 7. Only operate tools according to the manufacturer’s instructions. 8. After using a tool, clean it and return it to its proper storage place. 9. Don’…
