Cell Division and Reproduction
10 flashcards · Biology · by James Wong
Cytokinesis is the cytoplasm dividing and generating 2 daughter cells
Septum is the cell wall formed while performing Binary Fission
List all the stages of Binary Fission
DNA Replication, Elongation, Septum Generation, Cell Division
Asexual Reproduction is when cells reproduce without gametes
List all the Phases of the Cell Cycle
Interphase, Mitosis, Cytokinesis
Anaphase is when the Spindle Fibres contract and pull the chromosomes to each end of the cell
The G0 Phase is when a cell no longer follows the cell cycle and stays as is
The Prophase is when the Nuclear Membrane Dissolves and the DNA Condenses
The Telophase is when the Chromosomes decondenses and the nucleus is formed
The Metaphase is when the chromosomes line up in the equator and the spindle fibres are fully formed
